France vs Albania Match
Group D leaders Les Bleus will entertain Albania at the Stade de France in Paris on SUNDAY night.
France will have to affront Albania without number 10 player Karim Benzema.
But they will have to do so without the likes of Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema who netted an 11th minute goal in Tirana back in September. Benzema has been out of action since picking up a hamstring injury against Ajax in the UEFA Champions League.
Blaise Matuidi, Kevin Gameiro and Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery will also not take part in Friday’s important UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier. This group of players has reportedly been hit by injuries.
Either way, history is on France’s side to triumph. Les Bleus have always beaten Albania—whether home or away. It will be fantastic for France’s supporters to celebrate their team’s qualification for Euro 2012 on home soil.
But that would take an unlikely blunder from Bosnia and Herzegovina at home to minnows Luxembourg. Predictions, eventually, remain that the French will discover their fate on the very last match-day of the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign. That is, when they’ll host Bosnia and Herzegovina in a crunching encounter next Tuesday.
